Sonia Kainth

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Assistant: Fiona Callander | [email protected]

Sonia is skilled at developing creative and strategic legal solutions tailored to each individual’s circumstances.  She believes that every family is unique and there is no “one-size” solution to any family law case.  Sonia understands that navigating through a family law matter is a very emotional and stressful process.  She thoughtfully considers the best strategy for a client to take to reach a resolution in their matter whether that means negotiating a settlement outside of court or advocating for a client in court.

Sonia’s practice focuses exclusively in the area of family law and includes all aspects of family law matters from drafting agreements and negotiating fair settlements, to advocating for clients in both the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia. Sonia also has a keen interest in assisting clients with all types of adoption.

In addition to her litigation practice, Sonia is a trained Collaborative Law lawyer as well as a Certified Family Law Mediator.  She can assist client in English and is conversant in Punjabi.

When Sonia is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, skiing, and travelling.

I am both a certified Family Law Mediator and a collaborative lawyer. Visit our Mediation page and Collaborative Divorce pages for more information on how mediation and collaborative law can be helpful to separating and divorcing couples.
